Brad Vicars Receives Duke Newcomers Award

Yorkshire's Brad Vicars was the 2016 Duke Road Race Rankings Best Newcomer in the 2016 Duke Championship won by fellow Yorkshireman Dean Harrison.
Brad who hails from Tadcaster finished 11th overall in the prestigious Duke Road Race Rankings Series achieving impressive maiden road race victories at the Southern 100 International Road Races, the Armoy 'Race of Legends' Road Races and at the 'Cock o'the North' Road Races at Oliver's Mount, Scarborough.
The presentation of the Geoff Duke Newcomers Trophy' was made at the annual Southern 100 Dinner by 2013 Duke Rankings winner and 2016 Southern 100 Champion Michael Dunlop.
Speaking to Manx Radio's Tim Glover, Brad said he was proud to win the Geoff Duke Trophy and pleased to receive it from Michael and was looking forward to taking part in the Duke Championship again this year.
Brad intends to return to the Billown Course for the 2017 Isle of Man Steam Packet Southern 100 International Road Races in July, as well as  selected events at Oliver's Mount, whilst his main aim for this year will be making his debut on the Mountain Course at the Manx Grand Prix.
