Sudden Death of Former Chief Technical Officer

Southern 100 Racing were shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Chris Rowe.
Chris was a longtime supporter of the Southern 100 and was involved with the organisation of three races held on the Billown Course annually for  20-years from 1989 to 2009 in the position of Chief Scrutineer, now renamed Chief Technical Officer.

Chris Rowe took on the role after the retirement of another stalwart, Ken Harding who stepped down after 21 years!

A Cornishman by birth, always smiling and an expert at ‘one-liners’ and terrible jokes Chris was an exceptional engineer and was well respected within road racing and his other interest rallying.

Southern 100 Racing send their condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.
