Foraging Vintners is an Isle of Man craft winery that uses
non-grape based produce to create delicate sparkling
Based in Port Erin Foraging Vintners joined forces with the
Southern 100 organisers last year, providing magnums of
their Rhunessa Sparking Wine for the main race winners.
Which were very well received.
Founder and Director Ian Swindells was well pleased with
the response, not only from the competitors, but also the
fans and enthusiasts that were present, that he is not only
continuing his much-valued sponsorship, Ian is increasing
the bounty, so that every podium competitor will receive a
bottle of ‘bubbly’.
Ian said: ‘2017 was the first year we had ventured into this type of sponsorship and were a
little cautious – even so, the response was great, and the response encouraged us to get
even more involved this year.
‘Every racer puts their heart and soul into their racing and the top three deserve their
recognition. With the additional races that are included in the programme to cater for the
large number of entries the club receives, the decision was made to include every podium
– 17 in all this year.’
In concluding Ian Swindells said: ‘Foraging Vintners is delighted to be part of the Southern
100 tradition and honoured to be presenting the Podium Winners our wines on the
Foraging Vintners Podium!’
