In News by Phil Edge

A fabulous Rock n Roll Night was promised by The Moddey Dhoo Motor Cycle Club as they presented the 2019 Denis Barlow’s Memorial Rock n Roll Night at the Manx Legion Club, North Quay, Douglas at the end of August.

And what a night it was, headlined by local band The Rockits the music was excellent with many reliving their youth and showing what Rock n Roll was all about!

The total amount raised on the night was £1,454.00 which was handed over to the Southern 100 Supporters Club which provides safety equipment for the three road races held on the Colas Billown Course annually and assists injured riders and their families, at a Moddey Dhoo Club Meeting held at the Manor Hotel, Willaston in September.

Southern 100 Press Officer Phil Edge and Chief Marshal Peter Chadwick both expressed their thanks on behalf of the club for Barbara’s and the Moddey Dhoo’s continued magnificent support.

Denis Barlow was a life-long member of the Moddey Dhoo MCC and was a staunch supporter of ‘the friendly races’ and the support continues in his memory having raised £8.454.00 since 2015.
