4 Hire added their much-respected name to the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races in 2010 when the they took on the title sponsorship of the then ‘fledgling’ Post Classic Superbike Race.
As the decade has passed the Post Classic Superbike race has grown in stature as more machines have become eligible due to ‘age’ and the class now attracts full entries and guarantees close, even heart-stopping racing between the top men associated with racing Classic Superbikes around the Colas Billown Course, the most successful of which has been Yorkshire man Jamie Coward who has no less than five wins so far since 4 Hire have been associated with the race. Jamie’s first win was in 2010, then 2012, followed by a ‘triple’’ in 2015, 2016 & 2017.
4 Hire also provide two of their vans with tail-lifts which are used during the setting up of the 4.25-mile course and dismantling after the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races in July. These vans are also used as recovery vehicles to collect and bring back to the Paddock any machines that suffer failures during practice and racing.
Southern 100 Racing are extremely grateful to 4 Hire for their continued generous sponsorship of these vehicles in addition to their being title sponsors of the Post Classic Superbike Race.
