Changes to Southern 100 Race Programme 2019

Southern 100 Racing, organisers of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races are to make a number of changes to their racing classes for the 2019 event which takes place Monday to Thursday 8th – 11th July. The main change is the dropping of the ‘Ultra-Lightweight’ 125cc/400cc class from the programme along with the discontinuation of the Support races. Alan ‘Bud’ Jackson

The Southern 100 Race organisers were saddened to receive news that long-time Billown competitor, Alan ‘Bud’ Jackson had succumbed to injuries received during Thursday Evening’s Qualifying for the Classic TT. Bud as he was known to everyone, first raced at the Southern 100 in 1975 finishing 17th in the 250cc Lightweight race and returned annually through to 1983, before taking a sabbatical until making a ‘come-back’ in 1991 which continued up to and included the events 50th anniversary year 2005. …

The Moddey Dhoo Motor Cycle Club held its annual Denis Barlow Memorial Rock n Roll Night at the Manx Legion Club on Wednesday 29th August 2018.
