Southern 100 Racing, organisers of the Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Races have recently received enquiries regarding adding a Post Classic TT Sidecar Race to the present race programme. The Club have received similar requests in previous years and have included the ‘Post Classic’ machines, but the response has been limited. The Southern 100 Marshals Association are saddened to learn of the passing of long time Southern 100 Marshal George Moore. George marshalled at Church Bends for more than 30years and was a popular ‘character’ with both local and visiting fans, not only with his knowledge of the races, but also the many tales he could tell of his experiences of marshalling at Billown and on the Snaefell Mountain Course along with Jurby over the years. Two Times Southern 100 Solo Champion Recognised in Queens Birthday Honours

Two Times Southern 100 Solo Champion Ryan Farquhar has been honoured in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours 2020. The Dungannon man has been awarded the British Empire Medal for Services to Motorcycling. He is Ireland’s most successful Irish national road racer with his achievements being recognised last year when his tally of 357 road racing victories were entered in the Guinness Book of World Records. Old Market Inn Continues to Give Despite Covid 19

The Old Market Inn on Chapel Row in Douglas may be the smallest pub in the Isle of Man, but it is one with the biggest heart when it comes to supporting the Southern 100 Supporters Club. Ray McCullough, a quiet unassuming Ulsterman became part of Irish road racing folklore through his extraordinary racing career amassing over 170 wins that spanned three decades.
