Southern 100 to be Broadcast on ITV4

Southern 100 Racing are pleased to announce that highlights of the 2018 Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races will be shown on ITV4 on Monday and Tuesday 23rd & 24th July commencing at 8.00pm on both evenings. Southern 100 Racing is indebted to Greenlight Television for their continued coverage of the races on the Colas Billown Course and to ITV4 for including the event in their prime-time schedules.

Four Out of Four for McGee at ‘Race of the South’!

Mullinger rider Derek McGee took four wins out of four starts at the ‘Race of the South’ at Walderstown, round 12 of the Duke Road Race Rankings Championship 2018. The four victories puts Derek in second position in the Duke Rankings, just 25 points adrift of current champion and leader Dean Harrison. Latest Update of Injured Riders

The latest update on the riders injured during the Southern 100 International Road Races is as follows: Ivan Lintin remains critical but stable; and both Tom Robinson and Brian Fruidge are described as stable. Further updates will be published, when received, in the meantime, Southern 100 Racing wishes all three continued progress in their recovery.

Update on Riders injured during Southern 100

Southern 100 Racing are able to provide an update on the conditions of the riders involved in the incident on the Stadium Bends section of the Billown Course on Thursday afternoon of the Southern 100 International Road Races. Ivan Lintin has been flown off Island for further examination and has undergone an operation on his leg, but remains critical. STATEMENT ISSUED ON BEHALF OF THE SOUTHERN 100 MOTOR CYCLE RACING CLUB

The Southern 100 MCRC, organisers of the Southern 100 International Road Races, regret to announce that following an incident involving four-competitors at Stadium Bends during the 600cc Challenge race, Driffield rider, James Cowton succumbed to his injuries. The other riders involved, Ivan Lintin is in a critical condition, whilst Jamie Coward has shoulder injuries and Mickey Evans leg and arm injuries. CSA – Japan, who are presenting specially designed Championship Medallions and Rings to the race winners at this year’s Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races are also going to present a special award to two riders/passengers who have shown ‘extra endeavour’ during the 2018 Southern 100.
