Sad Passing of Margaret Read
Southern 100 Racing are saddened to learn of the passing of long time official of the races, Margaret Read on 9th December 2021.
Margaret along with her husband Reg, were a permanent fixture on the Finish Line on the Castletown By-Pass, as they performed their duties as official Line Judges for 13 years between 2004 and 2016, although both had been part of the Southern 100 Family since 1997.
Both very friendly people, they fitted well, into the Race Control Team at the Start – Finish witnessing many changes during the me they were involved.
Aer their joint retirement, Margaret and Reg were regular visitors to the Race Control and enjoyed the banter with their colleagues from the ‘friendly races.’
All involved with Southern 100 Racing express their sincere condolences to Reg, their family, and friends at this sad me.
Margaret’s funeral has been set for Thursday 30th December 2021, further details to follow.
