Bumper Entry for Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races

With entries now closed for the Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Road Races, organisers, Southern 100 Racing are pleased to confirm that a total of 246 entries have been accepted for this year’s races, which take place on Friday, Saturday, and Monday 27th, 28th and 30th May 2022.

Triple winner, when the races were last run in 2019, Jamie Coward returns with four machines at his disposal, along with other race winners Alan Oversby (two wins), Rhys Hardisty and Keith Shannon heading a list of the crème de la crème of Classic Racers as they compete for a share of the £14,540.00 prize fund over a total of ten races.

However busiest duo with six races apiece is Moreton’s Mike Hose, and Ballymena’s Barry Davidson although they only go head-to-head in three, the Lightweight, Junior, and Senior races.

The Senior (500cc) and Junior (350cc) races have once again proved the most popular with a total of ninety-one entries, both saw Jamie Coward take the winners laurels when last run in 2019.

The spectacle of the Classic Sidecars is once again guaranteed with a full grid headed by double winner, last time out, Rod Bellas with new passenger Glenn Dawson, as his previous ‘ballast’ Danny Quirk has become a ‘rival’ taking over the controls of his own outfit with Dylan Weston as his passenger, along with the other sixteen crews on the grid.

Southern 100 Racing look forward to welcoming all competitors, officials, marshals, and race fans, old and new to the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races 2022 and wish everyone a safe, exciting, and enjoyable time whilst on the Isle of Man.
