Bushy’s Brewery, well known for its fine art in purveying some of the finest ‘real ales’ on the Isle of Man and satisfying the thirsts of motorcycle fans and other discerning drinkers Island-wide has become one of the latest businesses to support the Southern 100 Marshals Association and its marshals who officiate around the Colas Billown Course at the Pre-TT Classic Road Races: the Post TT Road Races and the blue-riband event, the Southern 100 Road Races every May, June, and July.
Each marshal will receive a drinks voucher when collecting their accreditation on sign on night or at the marshal’s trailer for those who cannot make it to sign on night.
Bushy’s and the famous red fox ‘bushy tail’ emblem have supported the Southern 100 Racing organisation for many years and provided ‘special brews’ to celebrate various milestones of the southside races and Martin Brunschweiller Managing Director is to provide Drink Vouchers, so Marshals can relax after their duties are finished for the day and enjoy the immensely popular brew.
Martin said: ‘We have always had a close association with the Southern 100 Club, supporting them in numerous ways over the years and for the last seventeen providing liquid refreshments for the Media Launch and special beers to celebrates anniversaries, so it is a natural step to acknowledge the vital work the marshals carry out and show our appreciation for their efforts.’
Chief Marshal, Peter Chadwick acknowledged Martin’s words saying: ‘Southern100 Marshals Association are most grateful for this generous gesture of support in recognition of all the volunteer marshals.
‘These are challenging times not only for real road racing, but also for the hospitality trade severely hit by Covid. Both Southern100 MRC and Bushy’s are a big part of the South of the Islands economy and culture, and I am sure that everyone is looking forward to the return of breath-taking racing and the possibility to welcome the huge number of visitors attracted to the events.’
The vouchers will be redeemable at public houses which sell Bushy’s Beers and at the Southern 100 Course Side Bar adjacent to the Club Headquarters and Paddock at the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races in July.
