Clarke and Molyneux Head Classic Sidecar Entry for Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races
Double Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races winner Kieran Clarke heads an impressive entry for the Classic Sidecar races at the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races 2026, with Southern 100 legend Dave Molyneux also among the names already confirmed.
With entries remaining open, the field assembled so far promises a fascinating blend of proven winners, experienced campaigners and emerging talent for the Classic Sidecar races around the 4.25-mile Motor Isle Billown Course.
Leading the current form book is Kieran Clarke, who enjoyed a dominant weekend at May’s Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Races, taking victory in both sidecar races. Clarke returns to Billown with passenger Rob Coppock aboard their KCR Moorespeed BMW and will undoubtedly start among the favourites.
One of the biggest attractions for race fans will be the return of Southern 100 sidecar legend Dave Molyneux. The six-time Southern 100 Champion remains the most successful sidecar competitor in the history of the event, with fifteen race victories and six championship successes to his name.
Making his Southern 100 debut in 1984, Molyneux’s association with the Motor Isle Billown Course spans more than four decades. Partnered by Dan Sayle, the Manxman will once again line up on his DMR TR750 Suzuki as he adds another chapter to an extraordinary Southern 100 career.
Among those expected to challenge at the front are Greg Lambert and Andy Haynes. The popular pairing enjoyed an excellent Pre-TT Classic meeting, finishing runner-up in both sidecar races, and will be keen to carry that momentum into July.
Carl Fenwick and Jake Roberts return after making an encouraging Southern 100 debut last year, while Welsh crew Alun Thomas and Andrew Miller are also back for another assault on the Motor Isle Billown Course.
The current entry list also includes experienced competitors Mike Cookson and Kenny Cole, Adam Holden and Trevor Johnson, Adam Pope and John Christopher, Alan Warner and Josh Saunders, together with Tony Bannister and James Salsbury.
Newcomer interest is represented by Will Smith, who will be partnered by the experienced Andy Smith aboard their BMW-powered outfit.
Southern 100 would also like to place on record its sincere thanks to Barnes Racing for their generous support towards travel costs for sidecar competitors attending the meeting. Their assistance has been greatly appreciated by teams travelling to the Isle of Man and has provided valuable support in helping strengthen the developing grid.
Entries remain open and further competitors are encouraged to submit their entries through the Southern 100 Race Office.
