Improved WiFi Facilities Provided by BlueWave
Access to WiFi is a ‘necessity’ these days, especially when a residential area pops up overnight!
In this instance, the Race Paddock adjacent to the Southern 100 Club Headquarters, where upwards of 100 competitors will be based for the 2022 Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races. The Paddock will be their ‘home’ for a week, for a few even longer depending on their arrival and departure dates.
Showers, Toilet, and catering facilities are provided in the Paddock and at the Club HQ, where a new additional Ladies Shower Block has been installed, hopefully making the competitors, their teams, and families more comfortable.
Local Communications Company BlueWave have installed the latest WiFi System in the Race Paddock, in and around the Club Headquarters and the Nicholson Grandstand, where the Holding and Podium Areas are situated.
Club Chairman and Race Secretary, George Peach said: ‘In recent years the WiFi system has occasionally become overwhelmed with the amount of traffic being generated, especially with the fans wanting to make use of the facilities provided.
‘Southern 100 Racing are very appreciative of the WiFi Service which has been installed by BlueWave in a brief period of time since we first approached them. Matty Sayle and Sean Ridout, both past Sidecar competitors have been immensely helpful indeed with the installation and we look forward to collaborating closely with them in the future.’
