Local Businesses Step Up to Fuel the Heroes in Orange
Behind every thrilling moment on the Motor Isle Billown Course stands a team of unsung heroes, the dedicated marshals in orange who work tirelessly in all conditions to ensure the safety of riders and the smooth running of each race. During the Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Road Races, their commitment was matched by the generosity of two outstanding local businesses who stepped up to support them in a big way.
The Whistlestop Coffee Shop, located at Port Erin Railway Station, once again showed their community spirit by preparing and providing lunches for the marshals. This heartfelt gesture, which has become a welcome tradition in recent years, is made possible thanks to the kind donations from their loyal customers and local suppliers, providing excellent Manx products.
Additional thanks go to The Sidings in Castletown, whose generous contribution played a key role in making the lunches possible. Their involvement helped ensure that the marshals remained well-fed, energised, and ready to meet the demanding conditions of race day.
“We are incredibly grateful to both the Whistlestop Coffee Shop and The Sidings for their invaluable support,” said Chief Marshal, Juan Crawley. “It’s thanks to partnerships like these that we can continue to look after the amazing individuals who give up their time to keep our sport running safely.”
On behalf of everyone at the Southern 100 Club, and especially from the marshals themselves, thank you.
