Marshals Required for Pre-TT Classic Road Races
With just a month until the sound of Classic racing machines will be heard warming-up in the Billown Paddock as competitors and fans anticipate the action during practice and racing at the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races, marshals are still required to ensure the event can go ahead as scheduled.
The 2023 meeting takes place on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday afternoon 26th, 27th & 28 May on the Colas Billown Course.
The Pre-TT Classic Road Races were first run in 1988 and have grown over the past thirty plus years to become one of the most prestigious classic road race meetings on the annual calendar with full grids for most of the ten races in this year’s programme including post classic machines and sidecars.
Whether you are an experienced marshal or wanting to make your debut at the ‘friendly races’ you will be made most welcome and become part of the family before you know it.
Special skills or qualifications are not required to start with, only common sense and a reasonably developed sense of self-preservation.
You will always be welcomed into the friendly and enjoyable group of marshals, and initially placed with an experienced marshal to show you the way.
As you become more involved, you will be able to take advantage of training which is offered by the Southern 100 Marshals Association.
