More motorcycle action this weekend
Road racing on the Colas Billown Circuit has been completed for another year but if you are still on the Island there is plenty of motorcycle action this weekend!
Our friends at Andreas Racing Association are running a two day meeting on Jurby Airfield, today (Saturday) & Sunday tomorrow. There is the usual local riders but a boosted entry thanks to the discounted entries our Southern 100 riders received. The sidecar line up includes 2024 double TT winners Ryan & Callum Crowe, Michael Russell with 2024 Sidecar TT Podium passenger Jake Roberts, and Jim & Ben Gale, just back from making their Southern 100 debut.
In addition to the sidecars, we have all the amazing solo regulars including Ryan Cringle, Rory Parker, Jamie Cringle, Michael Evans, Francesco Faraldo, and Grant Thomson, fresh from his Southern 100 win. More details about the racing at Jurby can be found here.
The Manx 2 Day trial is also running today (Saturday) and Sunday, it is back to being one of the premier clubman events in the UK trials calendar. Offering a huge variety of terrain, scenery, sections and a great social feel for Solos and Sidecars alike, it really is not a trial to be missed.
The trial has been running since 1955 and since then, we have welcomed riders from far and wide, champions of the sport and champions for the sport. We have crowned superstars such as Artie Radcliffe, Sammy Miller, Martin and Doug Lampkin; along with our own Steve Colley and Barry Kinley and many more in the solo class. The sidecars have been just as successful with Ron Langston, Bruce Rushton, Robin Luscombe and our very own Roger Quayle and Nigel Crellin taking the trophies. There are too many successful riders to mention.
