Southern 100 Launch Memorial Appeal Still Open
The Parish Church of Kirk Malew on the Isle of Man sits on the Colas Billown Southern 100 road race course. Whenever the racing is on be it the Pre-TT Classic Races, the Post TT Races or the ‘Blue Riband’ Southern 100 itself the church provides a fabulous back drop and excellent Manx hospitality to those who gather to spectate in its grounds.
It is here in the church that the Southern 100 club would like to erect a permanent memorial to over 60 years of motorcycle racing. A place where race supporters, family and friends can gather to recall fond memories and in recognition of all those who have contributed to this rich piece of Island history whether as competitors, marshals, or officials.
As with any project of this nature there is, as we know, always a cost. An appeal was launched in late March 2022 and around one third of the amount has been generously donated.
There is still an opportunity for public subscription to meet the cost of the memorial and its placement. If you or anyone you know would like to make a generous contribution to the cost of the memorial, can you please send your donation to:

It is planned to have the memorial dedicated at the annual Southern 100 Church Service on Sunday 9 July 2022 at 3:00pm.
Any donations raised over and above the cost of the proposed memorial, £1200.00 will be split between Southern 100 Benevolent Fund and Kirk Malew.
