UGGLY & CO Sponsor Southern 100 Marshals Clothing
As any race promoter will tell you, you cannot run a road race without the appropriate number of marshals, and Southern 100 Racing is no different, with the Southern 100 Marshals Association a vital part of the racing family of other officials and medical personnel that come together to ensure the safe and good running of the races around the Colas Billown Course.
It is also vital that all marshals around the 4.25-mile course are clearly always seen by competitors and other officials, hence the wearing of the now very familiar orange clothing.
Being out in all weather conditions clothing suffers severe wear and tear and to ensure marshals on duty for this years Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races, clothing specialists UGGLY & CO have very generously sponsored items of high-vis protective wear to help ensure their safety and well-being.
The new clothing was handed out to marshals at the first Signing-On session for the Southern 100 at the Morton Hall, Castletown and was well received and appreciated by those present.
Chief Marshal Juan Crawley expressed his thanks to UGGLY & CO saying: The Southern 100 Marshals Association, along with the Club cannot thank UGGLY & CO enough for their sponsorship of the Marshals protective gear. Our marshals are dedicated to assisting the races on the Billown Course and most are members of the Association, and they will be proud to wear the new clothing which is not only bears the sponsor’s name. but also the Southern 100 Marshals Association Logo.’
We are always looking for new marshals to join the friendly team at the Colas Billown Circuit. Special skills or qualifications are not required to start with as you become more involved, you will be able to take advantage of training which is offered by the Southern 100 Marshals Association.
