The Southern 100 Road Races is delighted to announce that Episode 1 of Inside Lines, the new motorsport documentary series, is now available to watch. The pilot episode, titled The Hidden Gem, was filmed at this year’s Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races.

Inside Lines goes beyond the racing to tell the stories not normally seen, the paddock humour, friendships, pressure, routines and risks behind some of motorsport’s most incredible events. Episode 1 sees Host Lee Johnston head inside the Isle of Man Steam Packet Southern 100 Road Races, one of road racing’s most unique events, held around the Motor Isle Billown Course.

Known as “The Friendly Races,” the Southern 100 brings riders, teams, fans and locals together in a way few other events can. But beneath the relaxed paddock atmosphere lies some of the fastest and closest road racing anywhere in the world.

With Mike Browne, Dean Harrison, Peter Hickman, Conor Cummins, Joe Yeardsley and Paul Jordan at the centre of the story, the episode goes beyond the results to capture what makes the Southern 100 so special.

Southern 100 Club Chairman, George Peach said:

We hope it gives viewers, both on and off the Island, a real sense of why the races are referred to as The Friendly Races.”
