A side from the racing, the Isle of Man is brimming with activity this week! Whether you’re a die-hard road racing fan or here to soak up the island’s atmosphere, there’s a packed calendar of events for all interests during the week and the days leading up to it.
Here’s your guide to what’s on around the Isle of Man during the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races period:
Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July
World Downhill Skateboarding Championship – Tholt-y-Will
Watch elite riders hit 80mph on the 0.8-mile course at Tholt-y-Will Road near Sulby Reservoir in Round 3 of the World Championship. With Austria and Turkey already ticked off, the Isle of Man takes its turn to host the world’s fastest downhill skaters in a high-speed, high-thrill event.
Sunday 6th July
Pre-S100 Sprint Enduro – West Kimmeragh
Rounds 3 & 4 of the RMMS Sprint 7 Hare Championship take place in the north of the Island with Expert, Clubman, Sportsman, and Youth classes battling it out.
Southern 100 Memorial Laps & Church Service – Kirk Malew
Join the Southern 100 community at 2pm for two memorial laps followed by a 3:00pm service at Kirk Malew. Featuring the Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band and a floral tribute, this is a meaningful way to remember the riders and supporters who have made the Southern 100 what it is today.
Monday 7th July
Tynwald Day – St John’s
Celebrate the Isle of Man’s National Day with the outdoor parliamentary ceremony at Tynwald Hill. Expect traditional pageantry, live music, family activities, and a vibrant celebration of Manx heritage.
Fanzone in conjunction with Bushy’s – Castletown Square
Back and bigger for 2025! The Fanzone officially opens in Castletown Square with live entertainment, rider interviews, big screen coverage, and a buzzing atmosphere.
Runs from Monday 7th to Thursday 10th July.
Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July
Andreas Racing Association – Jurby Circuit
The only two day Andreas Racing Association meeting of the year takes place at Jurby, starting Saturday with a packed grid of solo and sidecar races.
Held on the Island’s only short circuit, set on a former WWII airfield, Jurby’s fast straights and technical corners make it a rider’s challenge and a spectator’s delight. With its own microclimate, you might just get the best weather on the Island too!
Port Erin Beach Festival & Festival of the Sea
Celebrate marine life and Manx culture with two days of fun at Port Erin Breakwater. Expect:

Manx National 2-Day Trial
A legendary fixture since 1955, the Manx 2-Day Trial welcomes solo and sidecar riders for a weekend of world class trials action across varied terrain. From champions to clubmen. A traditional non-stop, no holds barred event, covering over 50 miles and 40 gruelling sections each day. It’s exhilarating and adrenaline fuelled to ride in.
